Whether you are hosting a cocktail before a gala evening, a cocktail reception to thank your clients, or to celebrate your company's anniversary, it is important to plan the layout of the room based on the number of guests, their age range, the duration of the event, the chosen formula, and several other factors.

The choice between passed hors d'oeuvres or food stations will dictate the quantity of cocktail tables and stools required. A cocktail bar, wine bar, spirits bar, or beer bar, as well as the number of guests, will give a good indication of the quantity and style of bar to be placed in the room. The bar should never be too close to the entrance or a popular food station as this greatly hinders the flow of traffic.
